On admission, neurological examination disclosed papilledema and nystagmus. Pneumoventriculogram through the right coronal suture revealed a mass in the 4th ventricle, which was partially obstructing the aqueduct and the 4th ventricle with dilated lateral ventricles.
The posterior fossa was explored in sitting position with diagnosis of the 4th ventricle tumor. In the 4th ventricle, a large cyst was found, and histologically this was proved to be cysticercosis. Postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged to home.
